Who we are

San Luis is located in the mountain range of Tilarán and belongs to the district of Monteverde, in the province of Puntarenas. The population of San Luis is around 350 people.
What are the main characteristics of this community? Surrounded by nature (next to the Monteverde Cloud Forest) in San Luis you can find clean rivers, green fields, farms with a diversity of crops, flora and fauna. Farmers who are dedicated to traditional agricultural activities such as coffee and livestock, students who learn new opportunities for personal, family and community development, small entrepreneurs with productive project initiatives, community tourism, environmentally friendly development...

The San Luis Integral Development Association is the main means through which the community organizes itself to carry out different community development activities. Like what? Ask about the construction of the Trocha, the construction of the Aqueduct, community infrastructure, the San Luis Community Center... ...there are many examples.
